Job Summary

The Manager is responsible for implementing the development process and site reliability engineering practices to resolve issues and identify opportunity areas. This role will lead development and site reliability engineering teams and establish and implement best practices and standards related to engineering processes through all phases of the software development life cycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Provides development, implementation and deployment guidance as per approved design by collaborating with stakeholders.

· Ensures that functional engineering domain expertise is deployed and integrated in an efficient and effective manner to meet project requirements and deliverables across all locations.

· Provides leadership, vision and strategy to ensure that the daily operations of the teams align with the present and long-term goals of the business.

· Develops/enhances architectural design frameworks to ensure high quality information systems are delivered expeditiously and aligned with business objectives.

· Manages technically focused scrum teams potentially across multiple locations.

Experience

Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field required.

· Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

· Overall experience of 10 years in SDLC

· At least 5 years of Site Reliability Engineering experience

· 1+ years’ experience in leading scrum teams, preferred.

· 2+ years’ experience in software product development.

· 5+ years’ experience in Site Reliability Engineering.

· 2+ years’ experience in Automation

· Experience leading technology direction preferred.

· Proficient in MS Office applications; VersionOne, TFS, Jira experience a plus

· Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile principles a plus

· Strong knowledge on implementation, automation, operating systems, networking, application performance management, load balancing, security systems and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

· Strong knowledge on Site Reliability Engineering best practices and drive those in the teams.

· Should have hands on experience in Cloud Services like AWS. (AWS will be preferred)

· Proficient in Containers technologies (Docker or Kubernetes)

· Hands on experience on CI/CD pipeline development and tool (Jenkins, GitLab etc.)

· Proficient in scripting languages (Python)

· Deep understating of databases and troubleshooting experience

· Experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms

· Possess the fundamental knowledge in: Sys admin in using OS platform (Linux/Unix)

· Firm grasp of networking fundamentals such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP etc;

· Experience with relational database system (Sql Server, MySql, Postgresql)

· Experience with tooling to support monitoring, telemetry, logging, and reporting/dashboarding, and continuous delivery technologies.

· Knowledge of databases (relational and NoSQL)

· Knowledge of networks (routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, etc.)

· Knowledge on Infrastructure as Code scripting.

· Basic knowledge of configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Puppet, and Ansible

· Experience in Maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
