Oracle Software Development Snr Manager in India

Job Description

You will be responsible to build and grow a team of software engineers. You should have technical depth, architectural know how, be strong people and process manager and able to dive deep into any part of the 5G NFs functionality. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be obsessed with making your customers happy

  • Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of software professionals.

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.

  • Set goals and objectives for the team and track their progress.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as development, product management, and project management, to ensure smooth coordination and efficient delivery of quality software.

  • Quality Assurance Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement the overall quality assurance strategy for software development projects.

  • Define and establish quality standards, methodologies, and processes.

  • Identify and evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the overall validation process

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to determine requirements and priorities.

  • Execute and oversee validation activities, including functional, integration, system, and regression validation.

  • Review and analyze results, identify defects, and track them to resolution.

  • Monitor and report on progress, quality metrics, and overall product health.

  • Team Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the team.

  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to address software issues

  • Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on status and progress.

  • Act as a point of contact for external partners, clients, and vendors regarding quality assurance matters.

  • Training and Professional Development:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software industry.

  • Identify training needs and organize training sessions for the team.

  • Encourage professional growth and development opportunities for team members.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field is required. Graduate degree (Master's) preferred. Minimum of 10 years of related experience is required

  • 5+ years of people management experience in building and leading successful engineering teams is required

  • Detailed knowledge of and experience in leading teams through cloud native architecture, 4G/5G Network functions, Database technologies

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with test automation and tools.

  • Hands on experience in CI/CD, deployments, Software upgrades/rollback

  • Demonstrated strength with operating systems, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
