Who makes up the Design Team at Fincentric?

What will you do at Fincentric?

This will be a hybrid-style, Creative Director (CD) position based in Poland, but you will work in a global team, collaborating closely with our Boulder, Colorado based design team and feature teams.

As a CD, you will lead a small team of designers on multiple client projects with a focus on growing both the client relationships and career professional growth for your team, work with our Sales team to pitch ideas and win new projects, and work with our Technology teams to ensure quality builds, and drive innovation.

As a People Leader (manager), you will support a group of designers by helping shape their design acumen and push them to grow in their career. A typical day/week, as a rough estimate, will be 50% leading your team, and 50% leading a project/client.

Requirements:

  • A very strong design background with at least 8 years creating digital experiences, and 3+ years managing teams

  • Experience in leading projects, collaborating and communication experience working with internal teams and clients, both local and international, keeping stakeholders informed of project progress at all times and managing expectations proactively

  • A mastery of various design processes (e.g., requirements definition and project outlining, workshop facilitation, sketching, diagramming, creating wireframes and visual designs, and building interactive mock-ups, etc.)

  • Proficiency in primary design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, etc.)An analytical and visual mind, with a hunger for learning and a desire to solve complex problems

  • A desire to challenge yourself and staying current with financial, technology, and design trends

  • Must have experience working in a hybrid environment with colleagues from around the world

  • Must be able to build strong relationships across the design team to influence the overall quality and raise the bar of interaction design in our team

  • Must be available for some business travel (domestic and international) for onsite client meetings (to kickoff new projects with clients and to visit prospective clients to sell our services)

Bonus Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in building a design team from the ground up as this is a new location for our Fincentric Design Team

  • A mastery of one or more design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, etc.) specifically in areas such as building and maintaining design systems, interactive prototyping, etc.

  • Propose solution approaches, methodology, and sizings for various types of potential projects, as part of the preparation for a project kickoff or selling a client during a pitch

  • Subject matter expert in some aspect of UX design. E.g.: Interaction design (video, motion UX), visual design, user research/testing, prototyping, design systems, design strategy, etc.

  • Financial experience/interest

  • Any additional experience, or being a subject matter expert in AI, chat bots or conversational UI
