Machine Repair Specialist Location: Lakewood, NY Duration: Fulltime Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a talented Industrial Machine Repair to join our team specializing in

  • Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Jamestown, NY.

  • Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

  • Fully proficient performing troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.

  • Works on various equipment, including, but not limited to, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, spindle, gear head, hydrostatic systems, CNCs, ball screws, ways, dynamometers, fluid systems transmissions, conveyors, gantry’s, etc.

  • Responds quickly to down issues to troubleshoot and repair as needed.

  • Responsible for smoothly operating the machinery used in both production and non-production areas.

  • Utilizes the Maximo system for all PM and WO tasks while adding failure remarks for completed work.

  • Uses time wisely to complete tasks to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Basic electrical knowledge is a must.

    Qualification: Meets one of the following minimum requirements:

  • Must possess 7 years’ experience working in the relevant Trade field.

  • Successful completion of an approved 4-year, 8000 hours on-the-job training apprenticeship program with the related course of study, plus 1 year working in the pertinent Trade Field.

  • 2-year Technical Degree in the related field (Machine Repair, Electrical or Tool Design), plus 3 years’ experience working in the field of this particular Skilled Trade.
