ICONMA, LLC Occupational Health Nurse in United States
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Duration: 7 months with possible extension
Description:
The purpose of the occupational health nurse is to maintain the health, safety, and productivity of Client staff by providing superior clinical services.
The successful applicant will possess an active registered nurse license or an LVN license with phlebotomist certification and work in close collaboration with the Client clinical lead located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Experience in occupational health, emergency room, or public health is highly preferred.
Job duties, under general direction:
Perform LVN or RN level assessment and medical management of work related injury/illness
Facilitate return to work and workers’ compensation programs
Assist with international travel health consultations
Perform phlebotomy to support research requests, administer immunizations, and TB screening tests
Assist with OH supply management
Respond to site medical emergencies and support disaster preparedness activities
Perform medical surveillance exams
Ensure OH compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, and workers compensation compliance regulations as applicable
Comply with ethical, legal, professional requirements, corporate policies and procedures
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Client colleagues, patients, and OH partners
Position requirements
Active California registered nurse license in good standing or registered LVN with phlebotomy certification
3-5 years of clinical nursing experience. Occupational and Environmental Health experience, emergency room or public health strongly preferred
COHN-S certification—strongly preferred
Bachelors of Nursing degree—preferred
Audiometry and Spirometry Certification preferred
CPR/BLS Certification
Knowledge & skill requirements
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to organize and rapidly prioritize responsibilities in response to clinical need and staff population
Knowledge of OH and safety principles to establishing and maintaining a safe work environment
Experience with CA workers compensation regulations and claim filing, case management, OSHA regulations, and maintaining OSHA records
Strong phlebotomy skills required
Ability to perform audiometry and spirometry testing for medical surveillance programs
Computer literacy in Microsoft office, competency with using electronic medical records systems
Must have strong phlebotomy experience
