Fujitsu Senior Researcher in United States

Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished researcher to join our Pittsburgh Research office. This researcher position will be responsible for conducting research on enhancing Fujitsu Social Digital Twin—a platform that digitally replicates the relationships and interactions among people, goods, the economy, and society. This role focuses on improving our simulation, prediction, and decision-making capabilities to address diverse and complex social issues. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external partners.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on modeling and simulating human behavior in different domains, including mobility, healthcare, and energy.,

  • Publish findings in renowned scientific journals and conferences, while also showcasing achievements through presentations at invited talks, conferences, and workshops

  • Conduct experiments and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of research findings through field trials

  • Execute joint research topics with esteemed university professors and Fujitsu global research teams

Essential requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Expert-level knowledge in one or more these areas: multi-agent reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, agent-based modeling, traffic simulation

  • Strong track record of publishing research in conferences and journals

  • Experience in creating and implementing machine learning and deep learning algorithms

  • Proficiency in Python programming

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in integrating multiple technologies from multiple research domains, including computer vision, AI, and human computer interaction

  • Design and prototype applications combining a variety of tools and platforms

  • Experience in interdisciplinary research collaborations

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $129,407.04 to $184,867.20 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
