We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer Manager to join our Enterprise Payment Solutions (EPS) platform products team which includes a mixture of both onshore and offshore resources. This role will be responsible for establishing best practices and methodologies for test automation engineers. The manager will also provide guidance and practical knowledge of test automation and performance testing to other Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure the success of test and performance automation efforts by evaluating and applying new and existing tool usage, processes and best practices. This position is responsible for the management of all aspects of a complex, multi-faceted department including determining approaches to developing and retaining quality personnel.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Oversees team performing highly complex automation projects either by direct management or through managers/supervisors.

  • Provides guidance in the development of test automation strategies, paradigms and architecture.

  • Establishes and provides an organized internal system for reporting test or tool related support issues.

  • Serves as liaison between managers of various departments in order to remediate test automation related queries.

  • Provides training, through team(s) or directly, to various departments interested in implementing test automation or performance testing.

  • Oversees budget for all tool related licensing and maintenance.

  • Works directly with vendors to ensure proper return on investment for tool related costs.

  • Serves as liaison for handling escalated vendor specific issues and aggressively pursues resolution.

  • Researches and assesses new or existing products related to test automation as required.

  • Serves as internal support channel for tool specific inquiries.

  • Coordinates and assists in setup of test environments used for test automation.

  • Evaluates, plans and manages deployment of automation tool related upgrades.

  • Consistently provides solutions to complex automation related challenges.

  • Consults with other test managers on strategies for corporate wide projects.

  • Oversees the continual improvement of automation test frameworks, test management, testing tools and testing processes and procedures.

  • Ensures all automation testing processes are followed and provides metrics and reporting as requested.

  • May develop extensible toolkits for automation tool support.

  • May participate in development and execution of test automation and/or performance tests.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned

What you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in automated software testing or software development.

  • 3 years of experience with C#.

  • Excellent knowledge of Visual Studio.

  • Previous leadership experience required.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Excellent knowledge in various technologies including .NET, WPF, VBScript, JavaScript, OOP.

  • Experience with automation tools and expert knowledge of usage.

  • Excellent knowledge of testing and automation methodologies and quality assurance techniques. Able to implement these processes through others.

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycles and software testing lifecycles.

  • Able to foster an environment where new standards and strategies are suggested and implemented.

  • Playwright and SeeTest experience.

  • Knowledge of Performance Test methodologies.

  • Knowledge SQL scripting.
