Part-Time Manufacturing Specialist I - 2nd Shift

This is an entry level manufacturing position on the roboticproduction areas.The robotic productionconsists of manufacturing cells such as robotic parts setup, side plate cell,hinge top cell, cutting edge cell, assembly cell, robotic welding cell, finishwelding, operating CNC machine and press brake.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform manufacturing processes in a safe, competent manner consistent with quality and safety standards.
Safely use overhead lifting devices and forklifts
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
Follows set-up guidelines and procedures to assemble and tack weld unit by using various tools and fixtures available.
Places part into holding fixture for robot welding.Starts and observes robot welding operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance welding, and adjusts controls and/or program as required.
Sets the weld machine to correct setting for the weld application.Finish welds unit to print specifications following guidelines and procedure.
Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials, as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts.
Uses air arc and grinder to remove or repair unacceptable welds in order to meet quality guidelines.
Inspects welds and checks critical measurements upon completion to ensure they meet specifications and criteria. Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
Selects appropriate punch and die and operates hydraulic press to form piece parts to correct straight leg, degree, and radii.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Starts and observes milling machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
Interpret blueprints, specification, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate weld process.
Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
Is engaged with, participates, and contributes to CPS activities.
Meets production output expectations.
Follows all Standard Work documents as written.
Follow Stop-to-Fix process to address safety, quality, or production issues. Utilize STF when any uncertainty exists in any of the above categories.
Fills out all paperwork as required. Example: IPVs, cell board sheets, etc.
