About the Opportunity

Jacobs are recruiting for an Accommodation & Mobility Lead/ SME to join our Poland Clean Energy Nuclear New Build team. The team supports our key client PEJ Sp z.o.o (PEJ) which is the state-owned entity that is responsible for the delivery of the first nuclear new build programme in Poland.

This is a key role within our rapidly growing team based in Warsaw supporting our client, and this role will support potentially several projects within their PEJ EJ1 new build project through the entire project development and delivery lifecycle.

Working closely with the Senior Director of PEJ's Associated Infrastructure Division, the Accommodation & Mobility Lead/ SME is a key role in driving global best practices into those solutions required to bring about a safe, efficient and productive workforce. Bringing holistic thinking to the many logistical components that, if implemented as a system, can result in a huge value add to a new nuclear build programme of works, the position requires an experienced and trusted advisor to influence accommodation and mobility outcomes and create unsurpassed welfare solutions that attract and retain the best people.

In this role you will report to the Jacobs Senior Programme Director(s) for delivery of the required activities under the relevant SA’s with a variety of associated responsibilities spanning technical expertise, delivery leadership and stakeholder coordination. You'll generate a close-knit team that will influence and respect the requirements of other key logistical (i.e. roads, rail, marine, services, etc) leads and their teams, whilst also working closely with both Client and Consultant; designers, legal planners, environmental specialists and stakeholder communications professionals.

The role will be based at the Jacobs and PEJ Warsaw offices in Poland, with flexible working arrangements. Additionally, this role will require from time to time, business travel to other parts of Poland, mainland Europe, UK and potentially USA. Flexible working arrangements between office and home are possible. Key responsibilities:

  • To provide expertise and leadership in workforce accommodation & welfare solutions to and on behalf of the Client from a technical viewpoint, commercial viewpoint and socio-environmental viewpoint

  • Expertise and leadership in workforce mobility solutions, co-ordinating with a complete spectrum of logistician & transportation SMEs

  • Provide leadership alongside fellow delivery leads in all aspects of those non-nuclear Associated Developments and those key interfaces with new nuclear build envelopes

  • Occasionally branch out and provide expertise to other new nuclear build projects across the business

  • Support the Client in capability building and develop competent internal resources in those aspects of major workforce accommodation & mobility

  • Develop internal resources and capability across the business

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree qualified in a suitable engineering discipline

  • Chartered professional of a relevant professional engineering body/ institution

  • Extensive experience in workforce accommodation, welfare and transportation solutions across nuclear and other relevant major programme industry sectors, across multiple geographies

  • Project / Engineering Leadership & Management of workforce accommodation and associated transportation projects from ‘cradle to grave’

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in the delivery of NNB Associated Developments and the ability to manage and coordinate the vast array of complex internal and external stakeholder components

  • Significant experience working in embedded or semi-embedded Client roles – i.e. the ability to represent Client-facing roles in addition to that of a consultant

  • Demonstrable experience in leading and developing teams

  • Excellent presentation skills and proven experience in positively influencing outcomes
