As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be instrumental in developing and enforcing cloud security governance and policies for our core cloud offerings. You will work hands-on to ensure that our cloud environments adhere to the highest security standards and best practices.

Join the Core Cloud Team

You will become a part of Core Cloud, a team of dedicated professionals within the Enterprise Platform. We are a collaborative group that supports and maintains the foundational technologies for the GN Group's global initiatives.

In this role, you will handle the governance and policy aspects of our cloud security, ensuring seamless integration with our existing security services and processes. Our work environment is agile and global, requiring collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including our CISO and Cybersecurity Team.

Responsibilities

• Take part of the development, implementation, and automation of comprehensive cloud security policies and governance, aligning with current cloud security frameworks and industry best practices.

• Continuous improvement of cloud security governance and policies – protecting resources deployed on the cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to integrate cloud security measures with the overall security strategy, assisting cross-functional initiatives where necessary.

• Participate in a variety of security assessments and audits, including penetration testing and compliance reviews, to ensure adherence to policies and standards.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud security and support both the cloud security and cloud teams, and assisting the Cloud Security Architect on new cloud architectural decisions.

• Support the response to security incidents, focusing on mitigation strategies and refining security policies to prevent future incidents.

• Proactively identify and manage risks, developing a prioritized list of mitigation activities using current governance frameworks and policy enforcement.

• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in cloud security and contribute to the cloud team center of knowledge.

• 3rd level support IT operations and the Cloud teams in issues and optimization areas on existing deployed governance and policies.

What You Bring to the Team

• A relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in cloud security governance, risk management, and policy development.

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including networking, storage, and compute functionalities.

• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud environments.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure security services and tools.

• Understanding of security best practices and committed to continuous professional development in the field of cloud security.

• A collaborative mindset, with a focus on working within cross-functional teams to achieve common security goals.

While not required, experience with agile methodologies will be advantageous in this role.
