Position Description
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum Experience 8 Summary Lead Information Technology Analysts work with a high degree of independence to design and conduct in-depth analyses on quantitative and qualitative data. Serve as the project or team leader for Section, Division, Board, or System initiatives. Serve as Board liaisons or representatives in consulting/collaborating with domestic agencies, international authorities, and/or standard-setting bodies. Provide guidance and mentorship to new or junior staff, and act as subject matter experts to contribute to and advise on analyses and discussions across the Board of Governors. Information Technology Project Leaders prepare and deliver communications including presentations and recommendations to others in the Section/Division and/or to external stakeholders. Act as a recognized domain expert within the Division. Duties and Responsibilities
Position Requirements
Highly desired, 15 years direct cybersecurity experience for a large financial institution or Federal Agency or a bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, cybersecurity, and 8 years related experience or a master’s degree in a related field and 8 years of related experience. • Assesses and develop policy needs to govern cyber security activities and the rigorous application of cyber security / information assurance policies, principles, and practices. Interprets and applies applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrates into policy. • Develops and maintains cooperative relationships and programs with other Federal agencies, state, and local governments, foreign central Banks and government entities, and industry and financial sector officials to provide advice and recommendations concerning cyber and resilience issues of major national/financial/economic significance. . • Develops strategies, policies, and guidance to address challenging and complex cyber issues including facilitating recommendations and decisions that influence the Federal Reserve System and Federal security policies, strategies, and programs. • Works with the Section to identify and report on new and emerging threats to the Federal Reserve System including those that could impact the financial sector and the national security of the United States. • Expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity operations, incident handling, incident management, incident response, cyber threat analysis, data science principles, vulnerability management, security engineering, cloud technologies and security, automation and programming, project management, and / or relevant emerging technologies. • Experience analyzing threat intelligence from a variety of sources to understand the nature of a threat, ability to provide threat assessments, assess technical vulnerabilities, and recommend cybersecurity technologies or architecture approaches for risk mitigation. • Familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and be able to work with TOP SECRET / SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION. • Demonstrated resourcefulness and advanced critical thinking skills to independently direct, analyze, and implement solutions for all the various complex problems that arise in the administrative and operations area. • Expert in technical writing and communications skills with the ability to construct clear and concise written work tailored to intended audience(s) with varying levels of technical expertise. • Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders Possess skills in negotiation and persuasion in performing duties and influencing support for change. • Holds an active TOP SECRET / SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION security clearance. • Holds a current nationally recognized certification in cybersecurity such as a CISSP, CISM, CCSM, etc. This position is in Washington DC and will require onsite presence at least six days in a month and as business needs require.
