As a Master Data Management (MDM) Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust MDM solutions to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical business data across the organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams to understand requirements, define data governance policies, and architect scalable MDM solutions that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

1. Solution Design and Architecture:

2. Lead the design and architecture of MDM solutions to meet business requirements and ensure data integrity and quality.

3. Define data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, and workflows to support effective data management and governance.

4. Evaluate and select appropriate MDM technologies and tools based on organizational needs and industry standards.

5. Data Governance and Policies:

6. Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to govern master data creation, maintenance, and usage.

7. Establish data quality standards, metrics, and KPIs to measure and monitor the effectiveness of MDM initiatives.

8. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability roles within the organization.

9. Integration and Interoperability:

10. Design and implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow between MDM systems and other enterprise applications.

11. Define data mapping, transformation, and synchronization processes to maintain consistency across distributed data sources.

12. Provide expertise in API integration, ETL processes, and data virtualization techniques to facilitate MDM implementation.

13. Technical Leadership and Collaboration:

14. Act as a subject matter expert on MDM principles, methodologies, and best practices, guiding project teams and stakeholders on MDM-related matters.

15. Collaborate with enterprise architects, data architects, and solution developers to align MDM initiatives with overall IT architecture and strategic objectives.

16. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in master data management, data analysis, or data architecture.

• At least two cycles of MDM solution design, development, and implementation.

• Deep understanding of MDM concepts, including data modeling, data governance, data quality management, and data integration.

• Hands-on experience with leading MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, IBM Infosphere MDM, SAP Master Data Governance, etc.

• Strong technical skills in data management technologies, database systems, data warehousing, and cloud computing.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Industry certifications in MDM (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional, Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.
