Turner Mining Group Senior Project Engineer in Winnemucca, Nevada
We are looking for an onsite, project-based Senior Project Engineer with our client's Capital Projects department based at Turquoise Ridge Mine to start around July 3rd. This project is expected to last 12 months and has a 3 weeks on/1 week of schedule
Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work as part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
Plan, design, prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates. Work with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.
Perform scoping and s work to move a project from concept to implementation
Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice and analysis but includes a variety of complex features, such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, difficult coordination requirements and varying stakeholder needs.
Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities. Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation and resolution of problems
Provide updated schedule of projects to affected department inclusive of CAPEX, OPEX estimates.
Create and analyze metrics to determine project efficiencies and growth prospects
Create an environment of trust and respect with other departments at the operation
Manage and be accountable for the workload allocation and generated products from the site.
Liaison between technical services and contractors/operators to conduct reviews as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum requirement: B.S. degree in Engineering and 8-10 years of experience in an industrial environment required
Mining or mineral processing experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of project planning and scheduling preferred
Technical communication and presentation skills required
Expert knowledge in engineering and design required
Mining or heavy mineral industry experience required
Project management skills are required
Ability to operate efficiently in MS Office applications required
Strong communication and team skills required
Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship required
