Bahnson Mechanical Systems is seeking an experienced HR Manager that will manage the hiring, recruiting and development of employees while complying with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to perform needed entry level to advanced HR responsibilities.

Key Duties:

  • Administer, explain, and assist employees with company benefits needs and additional HR related issues including leaves of absence, compensation issues and conflict resolution.

  • Assist with assigning and maintaining HR and Safety training records.

  • Coordinate new hire requests, interviewing process, pre-employment screening and new hire onboarding documentation in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

  • Post job descriptions using company approved system (UKG) and work with hiring managers and hiring agencies to ensure qualified candidates are hired.

  • Ensure employee files and records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal requirements.

  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Maintain confidentiality concerning personnel actions, legal actions, termination, and organizational plans.

  • Administer Company policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is required.

  • Approximately 4 years progressive experience in human resources required, Experience must include direct recruiting and HR compliance responsibilities.

  • Experience in effectively providing proactive insights and guidance to senior leadership team.

  • Basic knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to maintain confidence in all sensitive matters (i.e., employee relations, pay, etc.).

  • Human resource experience in the construction industry a plus.

  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and produce accurate and timely results.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employee and management.
