Global Foundries Sr/Principal Engineer Failure Analysis in Woodlands, Singapore

Essential Responsibilities:
Failure Diagnostic (Dynamic electrical failure analysis)
Root cause yield issues leveraging testing and electrical failure analysis
Perform failure characterization and yield data analysis
Perform circuit and layout analysis
Product and layout study
Be able to analyze layout and convert to basic schematics
Understand circuit function and relate to failure signatures
Failure Characterization on Test
Perform diagnostic test data extraction and analysis
Contribute to characterization plan discussion to study the failure signature
Analyze the data to determine criticality of fail dies
Study inline data or process/product engineering feedback on fail suspects
Debug on Dynamic EFA
Setup and execute basic fault isolation techniques (Emission, static laser technique)
Able to interpret signal images
Analysis and Collaboration
Perform simple trace analysis to postulate PFA or nanoprobing region of Interest
Collaborate with layout analysis analyst to propose failure mechanism for further failure analysis activities
Deliver reporting of results with inferences
Requirements
Masters/PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or any relevant degrees or bachelor with more than 5 relevant years experience
Familiar with Electrical parameters, IC testing, Fault diagnosis/Failure analysis techniques.
Semiconductor processing knowledge/experience/understanding are preferred.
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a cross functional team environment.
