Oracle Manager, Network Services in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

Work with a world class team to develop, implement, and support cutting edge Oracle technology.Manages a team maintaining and implementing internal corporate network systems supporting 150,000 employees. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and system performance criteria.Leads a specialized area of Corporate Networking responsible for maintenance and compliance of remote access and associated network security systems. Frequently interacts with senior management and/or functional peer group managers to manage team priorities and output. Demonstrates leadership skills and potential to carry end-to-end responsibility for the technology area. Has foundational knowledge of several vendor technologies and cloud IaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, manage, and develop a productive and reliable team of engineers with varied levels and diverse backgrounds

  • Maintain multiple related systems across 10+ datacenters/regions – Remote Access, Intrusion Prevention, Web Security, and Network Authentication

  • Represent the service team at Operational meetings reporting status and solutions to organization leaders

  • Continually create and improve processes to manage the pipeline of changes, relentlessly driving quality

  • Manage on-time delivery of all compliance requirements - from vulnerability remediation to audit tasks

  • Drive use and development of automation methods

  • Handle Operational escalations and bring support to resolve major incidents

Experience and education:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent experience relevant to networking / network security

  • Two+ years of people management experience

  • Four+ years experiencing solving IT infrastructure problems as manager or individual contributor

  • Experienced with IT infrastructure monitoring and implementation tools – e.g. SNMP, scripted or coded automation

  • Familiar with global service management and compliance standards – e.g. ITIL, FedRAMP

  • Interfaced with internal or external customers showing ability to understand needs and find solutions

  • Global communicator adept at navigating languages, time zones, and cultures

  • Coached or mentored network engineer and/or software developer performance, career progression
