Job Description

Server Farm (Farm) is the functional testing framework for Oracle Database and dependent products. Farm supports multiple platforms and operating systems, with resources distributed across multiple Oracle data centres and Oracle Cloud Regions. More than two lakhs of functional tests run in Farm every day.

We are solving some of the most intriguing problems in software architecture while designing and building highly scalable cloud-native services, and solutions from the ground up.

We architect configuration management, automated build and test, security, and compliance tools and frameworks for Oracle Engineers

We optimize the developer experience and accelerate delivery of products and services to our customers

We are currently building cloud native mission-critical analytics, applications, and tools on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to handle massive workloads in a distributed multi-tenant architecture

Our solutions utilize serverless computing, auto-scaling, micro services architecture on Kubernetes, REST API, ML/AI based predictive algorithms.

• Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives for windows

• Ownership of porting 'server farm' product to windows platform

• Perform daily system and security monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs

• Provide support to various end user and developer groups by request

Responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent industry experience

• Hands on experience designing and maintaining product on windows platform

• Design / Develop PowerShell Scripts for Automation of Operational Process, where appropriate

• 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)

• 2+ years of experience with data structures (such as stacks, trees, visitors, recursion, and streams) and algorithms

• Knowledge in Linux and its administration with scripting capability to automate repetitive tasks. Linux kernel experience is a plus

• Prior experience in working on public cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, GPC, Azure)

• Requires strong communication and writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with REST/RPC API design and development

• Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka

• Practical experience writing large-scale web applications including architectural decisions, language choices, frameworks, and implementation.
